1. Service and eligibility
The Doctor Electrical Virtual Electrical Consultation is a remote advisory service for residential electrical concerns. The website service is intended for Washington residential properties within Doctor Electrical Services Inc.'s residential specialty scope. Doctor Electrical may decline a request that is commercial, industrial, outside scope, unsafe for remote review, or better handled through emergency or onsite service.
2. Request, scheduling, and payment
Submitting the consultation form does not create a confirmed appointment. Doctor Electrical reviews the submitted information first. If the request is appropriate for a virtual consultation, Doctor Electrical will contact the customer to confirm an available day and time and send a separate payment link. The $69.99 consultation fee must be paid before the private Zoom meeting link is sent and before the appointment is treated as confirmed.
3. What is included
The consultation includes up to 15 minutes of live video discussion and visual review when appropriate, plus a personalized written follow-up report. The report may summarize the concern, observations reasonably available remotely, likely causes or diagnostic direction, safety/urgency considerations, recommended next steps, onsite repair recommendations, and permit or utility considerations when relevant.
4. Remote limitations and no guaranteed diagnosis
Electrical conditions can be concealed, intermittent, inaccessible, mislabeled, or impossible to verify by camera. Advice is based on information supplied by the customer and what can be safely observed during the video call. Doctor Electrical does not guarantee that a remote consultation will identify the exact cause of a problem. When onsite testing or access is needed, the appropriate professional recommendation may be onsite diagnostic service.
5. Not an electrical inspection, permit approval, or engineering service
A virtual consultation is not an inspection by Washington Labor & Industries, a city electrical inspector, an authority having jurisdiction, a utility, or an engineer. It does not certify code compliance, approve a permit, replace a required permit or inspection, or represent that unseen electrical systems are safe. Washington requires permits and inspections for most electrical work, subject to specific exceptions. If Doctor Electrical performs onsite work requiring a permit, permit responsibilities are handled according to applicable law and the written onsite scope. It is also not an expert-witness opinion, insurance certification, formal real-estate inspection report, or guarantee that a condition will be accepted by an authority, utility, insurer, buyer, seller, or other third party.
6. Safety rules for the call
The customer must not remove panel covers, meter covers, device covers, expose conductors, open energized equipment, perform live electrical testing, climb into unsafe locations, or undertake hazardous work to provide a better camera view. Doctor Electrical may stop the consultation or direct the customer away from an area if continuing remotely appears unsafe. The service is intended to provide guidance, not to supervise energized DIY electrical work.
7. Emergencies
The virtual consultation is not an emergency response service. If there is fire, smoke, active arcing, immediate danger to a person, or another life-safety emergency, call 911. Stay away from downed or damaged utility lines and contact the serving utility. For urgent residential electrical service that is safe to approach, call or text Doctor Electrical at 360-854-8345.
8. Onsite repair credit
100% of the $69.99 consultation fee is credited toward any Doctor Electrical onsite repair specifically recommended in your written consultation report. The repair must be performed by Doctor Electrical Services Inc. and be within the company's service availability and licensed scope. The credit applies only to an onsite repair specifically included or recommended in the consultation report, has no cash value, is non-transferable, and may not be duplicated or applied more than once. The consultation report is not itself authorization for onsite work; onsite work is separately scoped, priced, and approved. The credit may reduce the qualifying repair invoice by up to $69.99 but cannot exceed the amount otherwise due, create a cash refund, or create a stored account balance.
9. 50% SATISFACTION REFUND*
If you are not satisfied that the completed consultation provided useful professional guidance or a clear next step, contact us within 24 hours and we will refund 50% of the consultation fee. The refund and onsite repair credit cannot be combined. This refund policy applies to a completed consultation and is intended to address the usefulness of the professional guidance and next-step direction. A remote consultation's inability to produce a definitive diagnosis when onsite testing is reasonably required does not by itself mean the consultation lacked value if the limitation and appropriate next step were clearly explained.
10. Changes, inability to perform, and technical issues
If Doctor Electrical determines before the consultation that the service cannot appropriately be provided, Doctor Electrical will not collect the fee or will refund a fee already collected. If a material technical failure prevents the consultation from being completed, Doctor Electrical may reschedule the call or issue a refund. Customer-requested rescheduling is subject to availability.
11. Recording and privacy
Doctor Electrical does not record virtual consultations by default. Washington law generally requires consent of all participants before recording a private conversation. Neither party should record a consultation unless all participants agree. Information submitted through the form, communications, payment provider, and Zoom are also subject to the Doctor Electrical Privacy Policy and applicable third-party provider policies.
12. Onsite work and warranties
The virtual consultation fee purchases the remote consultation and report only. Any onsite diagnostic, repair, installation, permit, material, labor, tax, or utility work is separate unless specifically included in a later written estimate or invoice. Warranties applicable to completed onsite work are governed by the terms of that onsite work, not by this consultation.
13. Customer information
The quality of remote guidance depends on accurate information. The customer agrees to provide truthful information, describe known conditions, and avoid deliberately withholding relevant facts. Doctor Electrical is not responsible for conditions that could not reasonably be known from the information and safe visual access available during the remote consultation.
